Have a nice day, and all the best for 2025! Why am I so late with my New Year's wishes, you ask? It's on purpose! Because we're all now past the third Monday in January, or Blue Monday, which is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year. The darkness, the cold and the weight of New Year's resolutions all hit you in full force at this time of year, and combined with having to get up and go to work after the weekend, it's a killer combination. The days are getting longer, the temperatures are rising and the wave of positive energy will reach its climax on Tuesday 20 May, when the 21st edition of the eBF Festival kicks off in Ostrava. The working version of the programme map is already on the web, tickets are disappearing like free parking in ski resorts and we are looking forward to seeing you. Tuesday's Procurement Board of public sector experts was marked by great energy, the sharing of experiences, and industry education. Education was also the central theme of the entire day, addressed in several aspects: as a path to enhancing procurement specialists' competencies, as a catalyst for innovation, and as a bridge connecting experts from both the public and private sectors.

We are excited to launch the fourth edition of the DIGITAL PROCUREMENT TEAM course, and we can’t wait to have you join us! We will look back at the eBF festival through the lens of numbers. The first magical number is '20', marking 20 years of coming together to discuss procurement, soft skills, team chemistry, economics, technologies, and current topics. For this twentieth anniversary, we launched the campaign '20 Sparkling Reasons to Attend This Year's eBF', which we spread over 20 calendar weeks.

This year's festival brought many new features, and if we were to choose the king of new additions, it would undoubtedly be the festival town Hawaii. From Tuesday evening, this work and networking environment transformed into a unique scene filled with a friendly atmosphere. We witnessed many heartfelt meetings, hugs, smiles, and laughter. As Zuzana Kawuloková said, "The procurement community has gathered in Ostrava once again after a year." And we just add that everyone was looking forward to seeing each other :)

We are starting the retrospective series of the eBF festival unconventionally with the program of the last day, that is, Friday. This year, the 'round tables' were replaced by a presentation from a single speaker, nuclear and quantum physicist Jan Rak, who worked for many years at CERN, where he worked on the largest particle accelerator.

The colleagues from the eBF procurement community have formed a spontaneous band called AI BAND and promised to make the festival dance! Look forward to energetic rhythms from Zdeněk Mikeš on drums and powerful bass lines from Jan Hirsch, former frontman of a metal band. Honza Zahálka and Jiří Šimon will shine on guitars. The talented Martina Balounová will enchant us on the violin, while Mikaela (Míša Slívová) will brighten up the evening with her dazzling singing, supported by her great friend Lili Kučerová. Get ready for an unforgettable musical experience that will surely get you out of your seats! You must be there at Ostravice Club on June 12th from 10:00 PM.

The first item on Wednesday's program at the START-UP stage will feature André Dravecký from Ringil. We will demonstrate how new technologies and a smart idea gave rise to a Czech software platform that is transforming the logistics processes of manufacturing and distribution companies.
