Leona Gergelová Šteigrová

Leona’s involvement in responsible public procurement has a long-term character. She was the director of the non-profit organization Nová ekonomika (New Economy), and since 2014 has been the Head of the Public Procurement Department at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, where she also led the project "Socially Responsible Public Procurement." She sees the potential of public procurement in strategic procurement. Previously, she experienced, among other things, the Presidency of the Education Committee of the Council of the European Union. In addition, she works at the Ministry of Regional Development as a Director General of the Public Investments, Construction, and Social Inclusion Section.
