Karel Medek

Karel studied at the Czech Technical University (CTU) Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FSI) and the CEVRO Institute. He has been professionally involved in cybersecurity for over 27 years, most of this period in consulting and managerial positions. For over 10 years, he was responsible for cybersecurity and ICT architecture at Czech Airlines. For the last twelve years, he has been leading the consultancy services group of the Cyber Security Shared Service Center within T-Mobile, a part of the Deutsche Telekom AG (DTAG) group, providing services for the DTAG group and its corporate customers worldwide. His professional focus lies particularly in the areas of enterprise security strategy development, security architecture, and identity management. Additionally, he deals with the specifics of cybersecurity in the aerospace and telco sectors.
