Benjamin Hague is the head of research at the Circular Economy Institute (INCIEN) in Prague. With over 25 years of experience in Europe and Asia as a consultant in surveys and analysis across various industries including mining, chemical industry, plastics, metals, materials, construction, automotive, manufacturing, and other consumer sectors. At INCIEN, he is responsible for programs related to economic and technological research, policy analysis, and promotion of best international practices in the field of circular economy within the Czech national and Central European regional context. Current priority topics include heavy industry and manufacturing, buildings and construction, circular bioeconomy, and their connections with global megatrends and EU policy agenda - climate change, decarbonization, biodiversity, digitalization, and innovation. Currently, he is collaborating with his team on several projects concerning green steel, low-carbon cement and concrete, circular construction, and green public procurement supported by the European Climate Foundation, European Environmental Bureau (EEB), and as a partner of the Circular DigiBuild project (within the EU Interreg Danube program) on digitalizing circular practices in construction.
