Adam Kašák

He has been involved in public procurement since 2016, when he worked for four years as a procurer at the Central Office of Labor, Social Affairs, and Family. Since 2021, he has been working at the company Waste Collection and Disposal, which belongs to the Capital City of the Slovak Republic, Bratislava, as the head of the purchasing department. This department handles purchases in the waste management sector as a public procurer, as well as purchases to ensure the operation of facilities for the energy utilization of waste. Here, he accidentally discovered that the role of the public procurement department in the organization can be greater than just carrying out procurement processes in accordance with the law, and that it can play an important role in planning, contract management, and working with the company's internal data. Therefore, he is trying to implement this view of the role of public procurement in practice.
