The traditional conference space of the Imperial Hotel will be complemented by the eBF festival town in Dr. E. Beneš park and the new pride of Ostrava, Boutique Business Incubator Ostravica. Especially the last place always brings a smile to our face, because after years of sadness looking at the crumbling iconic building, we the Ostrava people are cheering.
The history of the Ostravica department store dates back to the period of the First Republic. During the war, Ostravica did not escape the bombing, but managed to recover within a year. Paradoxically, its end is connected with the year 2000, when the ceilings and part of the roof collapsed inside the building after unauthorized reconstruction. The department store was closed due to this unstable nature.
The next milestone in the history of this wonderful building will be the year 2024, when the first major event, the eBF Procurement festival, will take place in the premises of Ostravice. A big thank you for the rescue goes to project manager Dan Zeman and the entire team of collaborators.
