Monika works at the Ministry of Regional Development, focusing on environmentally and socially responsible public procurement. She is developing Minimum Standards for Responsible Procurement in line with the National Strategy, aiming to make sustainable purchasing a standard practice with positive impacts on society, the environment, and the support of SMEs and social enterprises. Previously, she worked at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, focusing on responsible procurement methodology and its implementation in organizations. She holds a law degree from Masaryk University and spent over ten years at the State Agricultural and Food Inspection Authority, where she led the legal department. For two years, she was seconded as a national expert to the Legal Unit of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTÉ). Her specialization lies in sustainable food procurement.
