Jitka started out as a web application developer, but soon discovered she had a knack not only for debugging code, but also for smoothing out team dynamics. With the rare ability to speak both "tech" (“it works on my machine”) and "normal human” (“why doesn’t it work?”), she naturally moved into IT project management. Today, she works at Brno University of Technology and collaborates with the Public Procurement Department, where she supports the preparation and evaluation of IT tenders. She enjoys exploring new ways to select suppliers – though not every experiment ends painlessly. In her work, she never loses sight of reality: “user-friendly” doesn’t mean a 150-page manual, “security” doesn’t require six login forms, and “project schedule” is often more a wish list than an actual plan. Her approach blends technical know-how, common sense, and a good dose of humor – a combination that often brings much-needed clarity (and sanity) to public IT projects.
