Adam Dolník

Adam is a globally recognized negotiator with a unique combination of academic credentials, elite negotiation skills, and field experience from some of the world’s most demanding negotiations involving human lives. After a successful academic career at universities in the United States, Singapore, and Australia—where he gained recognition primarily as an expert in terrorist negotiation—Adam transitioned into practice, devoting the next decade to negotiating for the lives of hostages held by terrorist organizations, criminal groups, pirate gangs, and state actors across the globe. Previously, Adam also served as the lead negotiation expert for the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Centre (UNCCT) in New York. As an instructor, he regularly lectures for negotiation, counter-terrorism, intelligence, and diplomatic units worldwide—having taught in more than 65 countries to date. Among the specialized training programs Adam has personally completed are the FBI’s National Negotiation Course in Quantico, Scotland Yard’s Negotiation Course in Hendon, the UN’s Hostage Negotiation Training in Nairobi, and a Police Covert Negotiation Techniques Course in Manchester. He currently works as an instructor in negotiation and elite communication skills, as well as an advisor in complex and high-stakes negotiations within the private sector—often operating in regions and contexts where Western business standards and norms are not typically observed.
