Helena Sováková

Helena is an experienced military and sports psychologist specializing in resilience psychology, crisis management, and team cohesion. She served for many years as Head of the Operational Psychology Department of the Czech Armed Forces. Over more than two decades in the military, Helena was deployed on missions in Iraq and Afghanistan and spent years training specialists in crisis preparation programs and S.E.R.E. courses (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape). She provides psychological training to special units preparing for deployment in high-risk environments abroad. Helena works with individuals in crisis, supports families of hostages during international abductions, and assists released hostages in reintegrating into everyday life after their return. At the international level, she also collaborates with clients from the private sector on preparation for crisis and conflict zones. She prepares soldiers, diplomats, journalists, humanitarian workers, and technical experts for deployment, stay, and reintegration from high-risk and war-affected regions—working closely with their families and loved ones as part of that process. In her private practice, Helena also works with elite athletes, senior executives, and other clients seeking a profound personal or professional reset. Her expertise extends to team development and personal growth, including the dynamics of interpersonal relationships within couples, families, and workgroups.
