Jozef is the Head of Public Procurement at the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic. He is actively working to increase procurement innovation, professionalization, and centralization of public procurement. To strengthen the role of public procurement in the security sector, he joined the European Commission's Expert Group on European Research and Innovation in Security (CERIS). In addition, he leads the working group "Suppliers and Innovators" within the Horizon 2020-funded iProcureNet project. The project focuses on methodologies to conduct joint cross-border procurement and steps to make procurement a catalyst for innovation in the security sector. He studied law at Palacký University in Olomouc and public procurement management at Tor Vergata University in Rome.
