Jaroslav graduated in International Business Law from the Sorbonne in Paris and the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies in Strasbourg. He then completed his studies with scholarships in both England and France and a postgraduate course at the ESSEC Business School in Paris. He developed his legal expertise and experience as an articled clerk at the international law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel in Prague. He has worked at the European Commission since 2008 and currently works at the Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, where he deals with public procurement legislation and its application in the Czech and Slovak Republics. Additionally, he is involved in policy innovation in public procurement.
